Cookie Policy
What we store in your browser, why, and how to change your choice at any time.
1. Categories we use
- Essential — required for the site to function (staying signed in, remembering your cookie choice). These cannot be switched off, because the site cannot work without them.
- Performance — remember a preference, like your chosen display currency, to make the site more convenient to use.
- Marketing — not currently used. We have no advertising or marketing cookies on the site today; if that changes, this policy and the cookie banner will be updated before any are set.
2. What we currently store
This is the complete, current list — not a generic template:
| Name | Category | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| cv_session | Essential | Keeps you signed in and identifies your session to the server. | Until you sign out, or it expires |
| cv_cookie_consent | Essential | Remembers the choice you make in the cookie banner, so we don't ask again. | 1 year |
| cv_display_currency | Performance | Remembers which currency you last chose to display prices in. | Until cleared in your browser |
3. Third-party cookies
When you pay, our payment processor (PayPal) may set its own cookies as part of handling the payment on its own site. Those are governed by PayPal's own cookie and privacy policies, not this one.
4. Your choice
The cookie banner shown on your first visit lets you accept all categories or continue with essential-only. You can change your choice at any time by clearing the cv_cookie_consententry in your browser's local storage, which will show the banner again on your next visit. Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies directly in their settings; doing so for essential cookies will prevent you from staying signed in.
5. Related policy
See our Privacy Policy for how we handle the personal data behind these categories.
